DMB to play Piedmont Park Sept. 8

So, the rumor is true. The Piedmont Park Conservancy has nabbed the Dave Matthews Band, one of the world's most popular touring acts, for a benefit concert at the in-town park scheduled for Sept. 8. In keeping with the DMB tradition of performing benefit concerts in significant U.S. city parks, we are pleased to announce that Dave Matthews Band and very special guest The Allman Brothers Band are confirmed to play on the Meadow at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, September 8, 2007. Dave Matthews Band's benefit concert will be the first of its magnitude in Piedmont Park and with the return of Georgia's own legendary Allman Brothers Band, is a concert that should not be missed! Proceeds will benefit Piedmont Park and will aid in the enhancement and preservation of the park as a vital, urban green space offering cultural and recreational resources to all who visit.
