Only in Atlanta

I was in the elevator on the way to work the other day. A business man walked in right behind me. We sat in silence for a moment and then he asked, "What's on the 11th floor?" I said, "It's an interactive Agency, I am a designer". The man pauses for a moment, keenly giving me a once over and then says, "Oh, that sounds like fun. They really let you dress like that?"

Keep in mind, I am somewhat into fashion and occasionally dressing nice. This guy really had no idea what I was talking about.

It's something I have never understood. People assume that just because I work in an office I am supposed to wear dress slacks to work and a tie. I don't even know how to put a tie on correctly. Call is sad, but I am very happy to go to work and be the person I am.

The man got off at his floor and I went on about my day.

Wearing comfortable clothes is awesome! What floor did he get off at? Maybe an empty one. or those Architects. Those architects with their fancy schmancy pencils...
